They are famed for their Lala (clam) noodles back in Lai Foong, an old kopitiam in Chinatown that I visit since I was a little girl (though they are relatively a new hawker in that old shop).
WHAT TO ORDER: You have a choice of clams (RM 11), prawns (RM 18), or a combination of both (RM 23). But if you could only order a bowl, I’ll recommend a bowl with only clams.
WHY IT’S GOOD: Lala must be cooked fresh
WHAT ELSE TO ORDER: If you like prawns, give their combo lala and prawn noodle a try. I saw many people ordering them. We also got a herbal tea to cool ourselves down as the soup is fiery from ginger and chili.
